THE HEAD OFFICE of Istituto Ricerche e Collaudi M. Masini is set in Rho, on the northern Milan border, in one of the most industrialised areas in Lombardia.

THE INSTITUTE is set on a 15.000 mq area of which 8000 mq covered (used as laboratories, offices and congress hall), and employs 35 persons, of which 25 are laboratory technicians with more than 20 years of experience.
THE LABORATORIES, equipped with modern devices, operate in the technological field, in the field of civil engineering, mechanical, metallografic, thermo-technical, electronic safety, fire safety, food and industrial chemistry, toxicology and ecology.
AMONG THE MOST DISTINGUISHING TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT we can mention:
- Anechoic chamber and complete equipment for electromagnetic compatibility tests (EMC)
- Electronic microscope with microprobe EDX
- spectrometer with mass gaschromatography device
- Plasma spectrometer
- Test equipment for smoke and heat vents
- Electronic extensometers with data acquirement up to 100 positions
All devices are calibrated every 6 months both by SIT technicians (Italian calibration system) and by the Politecnico of Milan, and the Institute, apart from operating in full compliance with the existing rules, (both technical and administrative) is practically daily committed both in updating its equipment and in permanent
updating to new rules its personnel.
